Château des Bormettes : a multifaceted viticultural treasure
Nestled around the majestic Pic Saint-Martin, Domaine des Bormettes is a centuries-old family gem. This jewel is distinguished by its vast vineyard, one of the oldest in the commune of La Londe les Maures, and its exceptional vaulted cellar from the 17th century, a unique and rare building in Provence, which today houses around thirty barrels intended to age some of the Domaine’s highest end wines.
Recognized each year by prestigious media such as Le Monde des Vins, Le Figaro, Le Point, l’Express, le Guide Hachette ou la Revue du Vin de France, Château des Bormettes is also hailed by the Guide Bettane and Desseauve as a « rising star of the La Londe appellation ».
Château des Bormettes stands out due to the collection of vintages with a selection of unique wines, offered through four ranges in three colors.

OUR HISTORY
Initially, during the Gallo-Roman times, the Domaine des Bormettes flourished thanks to the attention paid to it by the monks of the Chartreuse de la Verne. Horace Vernet, artist, painter, and admirer of Louise Philippe and Napolean III, breathed new life into the 19th century by adding an elegant castle to its heritage. The 20th century welcomed the Goulin family, then their heirs, the Faré family, taking back the reins, this is a family fundamentally attached to this terroir and its transmission, determined to promote the essence of this unique terroir by developing a wide range of Provence wines, AOP Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence La Londe. Faced with modern challenges, their sustainable agriculture approach carefully preserves this pearl of Provence.

These wines are distinguished not only by the distinctive character of the La Londe-les-Maures terroir, but also by the singularity of our grape varieties and our blends. At the heart of the renowned Côtes de Provence La Londe appellation, the Château des Bormettes vineyard benefits from a privileged geographical position in La Londe-les-Maures. Spread over 72 hectares of continuous hillsides, our vines coexist harmoniously with 150 hectares of Mediterranean underbrush and preserved forests.
