Located in La Londe-les-Maures and operating a vast vineyard covering 72 hectares, the Château des Bormettes is surrounded by 150 hectares of forest and shrubbery. It benefits from a unique terroir in Côtes de Provence, influenced by the sea with schist and quartz soils and Provence sun. For centuries, vines have found here an ideal terrain to flourish.

On 72 hectares in effervescence, the Château des Bormettes is enthusiastic about a vibrant renewal, dreaming of extending its vineyards to more than 80 hectares by 2025. Under the leadership of Yannick Burles, the maestro of the complete restructuring of the Domaine des Bormettes between 2012 and 2018, the vineyard, like a painting changing with the waves, mixes schist and quartz, but also clay, sand and silt, each plot singing its own melody. In this quest for excellence, the pair who took over the management of the Estate since 2018, Christophe Defilippi and Julie Darneau, choose each grape variety with care, honoring traditions and explorations, sculpting the future of this wine estate with passion and audacity.

Un Terroir Historique
Our aging cellars are still nestled today in the heart of the Chartreuse, built by the Monks of the Chartreuse de la Verne in 1588, a natural testimony to the long history of the Bormettes wine terroir.
Facing the Golden Islands (Porquerolles, Port Cros and Le Levant) on this coastal point, cradled by the blue reflections of the Mediterranean, the Provencal vineyard has taken root for several millenia on the crystalline soil of the hillsides. Run by Fabrice Faré and his wife Hélène for over 40 years, surrounded by a dedicated team, the estate offers award-winning wines with distinctive characteristics. With vintages like Cote & Mer rosé, Hélène white, and Instinct Parcellaire red, discover a diversity of wines reflecting the passion and authenticity that thrill our teams every day.

I have confidence in the quality of the soils that we work patiently before replanting at least one meter deep, sometimes much more so that the roots of the vines can nourish themselves there. The majority of vines intended for red wines are harvested manually.
